About The Author

Eugene L. Martin was a Circuit Court Judge for the State of South Dakota for 23 years. He presided over all criminal matters such as assault, homicide DWI, theft, burglary, rape, and others, all juvenile court matters such as delinquency, children in need of supervision, and abuse and neglect, plus civil actions of negligence causing personal injuries, adoptions (personal favorite). Martin earned his law degree from the South Dakota School of Law just before being drafted into the U.S Army during the Vietnam War (1968-1970). After his service, he practiced law in his hometown, including a stint as City Attorney When Martin retired from the bench, he provided legal settlement services, via mediation and arbitration. He has spoken at the South Dakota Law School as well as numerous lawyers regarding the use of mediation in the efficient practice of law. He has become a "follower" of Jesus in jail, the very one in Israel in which Jesus as held prior to his crucifixion! Martin regularly teaches and mentors the men at Deep Within, a faith-based counseling and recovery institution in Glendale AZ. He has written three devotionals and has been a guest speaker at Life Church Peoria (AZ) and Stonecroft Christian Women's Connections in the Phoenix Greater valley. Without hesitation Gene is now totally committed to let God be his "pilot" and his amazing wife Sandra his "co-pilot". Together they work prayerfully and daily to help bring others to Jesus, to reconnect with the one true Father God, and learn about entry into His Kingdom.
