Jesus Also Laughed

Jesus Also Laughed is a collection of 53 short stories that have appeared in the Pastor's Corner, a weekly newspaper column in The Coalfield Progress. Most of the stories are fun and lighthearted, all the stories are inspirational and contain spiritual truths.

Jesus wept, the Bible makes that clear. So we know that Jesus felt and expressed emotions. But let's not forget that Jesus also laughed. Too bad many people see the Christian faith as void of humor and fun. Surely Jesus laughed and so should we. Jesus Also Laughed is a collection of 53 short stories that have appeared in the Pastor's Corner, a weekly newspaper column in The Coalfield Progress. Most of the stories are fun lighthearted such as The Great Beetle Revival or You Picked a Fine Time to Leave Me Loose Wheel. Some of the stories are inspirational like It Only Takes a Hand or The Miracle of the Green Paint. All of the stories contain spiritual truths with a fresh perspective.

RJ Rose is the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Coeburn, Virginia where he has served since 2003. He is a 2003 graduate of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary of Louisville, Kentucky with a Master of Divinity degree in Theology and a 1993 graduate of the University of Virginia's College at Wise (formerly known as Clinch Valley College) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He contributes to the weekly Pastor's Column of The Coalfield Progress newspaper located in Norton, Virginia. He is also employed as a youth mentor with the Lonesome Pine Office on Youth in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. He operates Shadowlands Art Studio out of his home specializing in hand painted Christmas Ornaments.
