Jagger and the Knife

A modern-day thriller about a Florida police department's most valuable K-9 drug dog who is the target of a cartel-ordered hit, and the aftermath on the dog's owners.

Dan is a well-regarded dog trainer and the Chief of Police in a small Florida town. He lives with his wife Lorie and dog, Jagger. Jagger is the the most successful dog in the K-9 drug unit. He does his job so well that he effects the bottom line of drug cartel kingpin, Xavier Cortez's operation. This leads to the order of an unusual hit. A hit on a police officer who happens to be a dog. Dan, Laurie, and Jagger are all pushed to the brink triggered by one impulsive act motivated by love. Devotion is a good thing most of the time, but can it go too far? What would you do, how far would you go for those you love?

Melinda McDaniel lives in small town in Ohio with her husband, 2 dogs, cat, and a cockatiel. She has always had great love for horses and dogs, particularly K-9 dogs, which lead to the exciting story of "Jagger and the Knife".
