Jackpot is a project I shaped in 2008 and shelved because my walks through life led me to do everything but focus on the characters in this book. My Editor, Cindy Sheffield Michaels; an amazing wife, mother and human being, helped me redefine my passion for completing this project and bring it to life. “Cindy, you are forever a Cheerleader.” So, after four years of this fiction novella collecting figurative dust on my hard drive, Jackpot became my primary focus. After thirty years of publishing in journals, local newspapers and working as a staff writer part-time I decided to take a leap of faith. The Jackpot series has given me the opportunity to embark on a passion I find a bit more creative than just writing about local news. My journalistic writings have been credited in both New York and Georgia.
