Description
IT'S A BUNCH OF A LOT OF US, but it is not all of us, said Papa Hippopotamus. It's about a family of Hippos always trying to gather all year long, but all kinds of things happen in their lives to keep them from all getting together until the very end of the book. Uncle Herman has a hernia, Uncle Hamilton has a hockey tournament, Aunt Hazel and the cousins have sports tournaments, Cousin Harry has a theater production, and more. It is a book of gathering family together, and how hard that can be. But after covid, and so many other things that have separated families, this book is about hope and the reward of gathering together to celebrate the story our lives!
About the author
Lisa Wilson is an author and speaker, but most importantly is a mother to 7 and a grandmother to 21 and counting. She loves this journey called family, and being married to her husband Randy, for over forty years. This is her first children's book based on the stories of their lives. Their family gatherings can be a challenge with children scattered across the country, but she loves the beautiful, glorious chaos when they all arrive! She hopes to inspire families to love extravagantly, laugh profusely, and gather and tell their stories constantly. She believes that creating moments out of minutes, while savoring God's goodness, is the greatest gift you can have!
