Description
Paranoid the song has always had trouble making people believe in him. He lives a mundane life with few friends, although most of the other songs in Songland pity rather than dislike him. One day he gets a feeling that something bad is about to happen. The problem for Songland is this time he's right! Who, though, is going to believe him? His best friend Rocket Man, and Rocket Man's housekeeper China Girl, are Paranoid's sole companions when he sets out on a quest to find the answer to the threat he has recognised - the Invasion Of The Flatnotes. Running into, and when they can away from, trouble at every turn, they must traverse the feared Wild Side in order to find the Helter Skelter that may lead them to the lair of the mystical Jean Genie, who may or may not know the secret of the way to the world of the writers, where the answer to the invasion may be waiting. Meanwhile, here in our world, Ayesha is having trouble with her radio, and has gotten into trouble with her mother for pushing her to relive old memories.
About the author
A professional musician, part time artist and songwriter, Jack Grabham had an idea for a childrens book with a difference while showering one morning. This 42 year old who never quite grew up was born in South Wales, UK, but now resides in Lord Of The Rings country, Peter Jackson's hometown of Wellington, New Zealand. While running his own music publishing company, Jack took the time to write Invasion Of The Flatnotes as an extension to his love of music and his need to create something memorable.
