About the author
Darlene Holliday a prophetic intercessor, a mother, grandmother, and she is blessed to be a great
grandmother.
In The Secret Place was ignited from pain, joy, hope and deliverance. Her story is real because
she loves it and strives to live in God's presence every day.
Darlene was first called to the Ministry to administer an early morning prayer line with her late
husband Randy. They would take prayer requests and pray with the participants corporately and
witness many prayers answered. Serving a part of jail ministry street evangelism as well.
Randy and Darlene had a passion to serve the elderly with our Nursing Home ministry
constituted, prayer, and counseling for families and friends with end of life support for Nursing
Home patients. We served in different areas such as marriage, counseling, and personal
intercessors. This opened doors to serve as chaplains at several nursing and group homes for
several years.
It wasn't until her late husband received a diagnosis of colon cancer that she realized she needed
to step up her prayer life. This was the birthplace, Women of Prayer. God spoke to her about
gathering women in her home to pray and intercede, not only for her husband, but for families,
churches, pastors, community, and the world. There is nothing like being in the presence of God
that pushes you to your next level.
After her husband went to heaven, the Lord began to speak to her about continuing. Because of
her obedience, The Secret Place Ministries was invited to host at WTJR Christian television
network in Quincy, Illinois where her program aired for two years. You can also find recordings
on YouTube.
Darlene continues praying, speaking at engagements and women's conferences. Serving actively
in several prayer groups and interceding for so many. Her goal is to push you to seek God
through prayer, that is where you will find your identity.
