Overview
This book may be viewed as two books. Two-thirds of the book is memoir of the times and experiences of my life. One-third is my challenging journey to find the common ground within physics, paranormal phenomena, fundamental consciousness, altered states of consciousness, and related Eastern metaphysics. It is not a novel nor a lecture; it describes living an eventful and satisfying life as a personal journey.
Description
This book may be viewed as two books. Two-thirds of the book is memoir of the times and experiences of my life. One-third is my challenging journey to find the common ground within physics, paranormal phenomena, fundamental consciousness, altered states of consciousness, and related Eastern metaphysics. It is not a novel nor a lecture; it describes living an eventful and satisfying life as a personal journey. For the first time in my life "belief in a God" has real significance for how I live each day.
About the author
Robert (Bob) L. Brueck graduated from the University of Colorado in 1962 with a MS degree in Applied Mathematics and a minor in physics and was a full-time instructor 1959-62. While a student, he was elected to membership in the physics honorary Sigma Pi Sigma, the engineering honorary Tau Beta Pi, and received two grants from the National Science Foundation for study and research programs. After working in applied science at Texas Instruments and the Southwest Center for Advanced Studies in Dallas for several years, he founded MRI Systems Corporation, which was acquired by Intel Corporation in 1979. After leaving Intel, Bob engaged in venture-capital investing and technology company management mentoring until his retirement in 2006. He served on the Board of Directors of four public companies, as an active board member of over a dozen other companies, and in various capacities with a number of nonprofit organizations. Bob was born in Boise, Idaho, in 1935. He and his wife of 58 years lived in Austin, Texas, for 30 years before now splitting residence between Austin and Valley County, Idaho, each year. They have three children, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
