In Spite of It All...

In Spite of it all: It escapes me, explains how a young woman perceives her childhood and adolescence based on what others are trying to tell her through their actions, and how she can't quite explain to herself, why they didn't just come out and tell her; she was never able to explain if they were trying to say she was incapable of understanding, if they thought she was stupid, or if they just didn't know how to tell her what they really wanted to say.
