About The Author

Shannon Sonnenberg is a children's picture book author. She also writes collections of poetry for adults. Shannon is a special education teacher for students whom she loves dearly. Shannon is passionate about supporting children and their families with autism spectrum disorder, emotional and behavioral disabilities, and emotional and behavioral difficulties. She believes that social skills are a foundational piece for lifelong emotional and mental well-being, academic progress, and success at school and beyond. In her free time, Shannon loves going on adventures with her husband and their dinosaur-loving son, reading, and spending time with their very opinionated Corgi and their rescue cats.
