Danny Hampton is an extremely talented high school athlete whose agent’s Corvette has been wrecked on a dark country road and he is presumed dead. It may have been deliberate, but why? With the help of Danny’s mother, Amy, and his mentor, Evan, they seek to find the answers as they become the hunted in this heart pounding tale that leads them to be shot at and captured. Amy suspects professional athletes are being swindled out of their money after they are accused of fathering children out of wedlock. She discovers the accused pro athletes have no knowledge of the women who have given birth to their children. How can that be? What Amy doesn’t know is the role science has come to play in the modern world of competition at the highest level. Before she knows it her whole life has become engulfed and she, her lover, and her only son’s lives are endangered. Amy has no idea how intimately this world has become entwined in their own lives as they become the detectives in a ruthless world that will stop at nothing to protect their profits—including murder. At her side are Danny and Evan. Evan tries to protect them, but Amy begins to suspect his motives. Is he faithful and true or is he part of the business plan?
