About the author
Keira is a young lady with a passion for reading. On her 6th birthday, she decided to flip our community's illiteracy rate upside down. Since then, Keira has more than doubled the size of Kaweah Delta's Medical Center's library, collected, cleaned and stamped over 10,000 books for Read for Life and started her own interactive reading program hosted by the ImagineU Children's Museum, Imagine with Keira, featuring books from her book sponsor, Usborne Books Central Valley Team. As the 2015-2018 Miss Tulare County Princess, a mentoring program through the Miss America Organization, the Children's Ambassador for United Way of Tulare County, and 2017 #LiveUnited United Way of Tulare County Youth Advocate of the Year, she appears at many events promoting literacy. Keira continues to work towards her mission, she has read to thousands of children in Tulare County, anywhere from baseball stadiums to classrooms and participates in countless community events promoting literacy. She believes that there is so much talent and dedication that someday others will be coming to us asking how we fought illiteracy and won. Join her, imagine with Keira!
