Overview
I was born in Stockton, California. My birth was premature due to an abusive father, so I arrived in the world at just seven months. A couple of years later, as my brother was born, my mother was diagnosed with Lupus. She fought hard for years but unfortunately lost her battle to the disease at 39 years old. I was lost and soon found myself in an abusive relationship as well. I felt hopeless, suffered from anxiety, loneliness, and depression. However, I had the will of my mother in me to fight my way to happiness. Eventually, I found stability and love in my life. Now married with two kids helped lead me to a loving life. I learned never to give up! As you read my story, you'll discover so much more, like how good it felt to reveal the new me and be free. While growing up, education was essential. Earning my degree in Psychology was a significant accomplishment. I have worked in the healthcare field for 17 years. The experience I gained during that time made me think about what else I could do to help people. So, I trained as both a Certified Life Coach (CLC) and a Master Certified Life Coach (MCLC). I've developed a multidisciplinary approach to my life coaching style. I'm always learning and often challenged, as you'll see on this emotional rollercoaster you're about to read. My life has truly been a marathon, but I'm still going strong.

About the author
One of the most elevated experiences as a young adult has been understanding the art of storytelling. At a young age, I learned that telling stories is more about the story itself. It's a personal narrative – a synchronous parallel between a deep awareness of internal existence and a unique manifestation of feelings, experiences, and perceptions. But perhaps the most significant part of a human's journey to introspection is the beauty in connecting one story to another. I strive to find the common thread in unique memories, behavior, and knowledge that tie us together and make us human. I focus on understanding the development of social identities amidst shared patterns of conflict and real experiences. I was born and raised in California's Central Valley and earned my degree in Psychology. I have worked in the healthcare field for 17 years, and I am trained as both a Certified Life Coach (CLC) and a Master Certified Life Coach (MCLC). I've developed a multidisciplinary approach to my life coaching style, adapted from cognitive science fields such as anthropology, psychology, and neuroscience. Aside from my academic training, my passion for studying and understanding social behavior and development stems from my own personal adversities. At 17 years old, I lost my mother to Lupus, and six years ago, I lost my father, both major traumatic events that have shaped how I understand coping with anxiety and emotional triggers. In addition, as a past victim of an abusive relationship, I understand the complexities of emotional abuse that permeate intimate relationships at many levels. These experiences motivate me to recognize temperamental and environmental factors which affect our responses to both major and minor life events. As a life coach, my mission is to achieve personal development while emphasizing the importance of mental health in addressing progress in personal and professional growth. I value fitness and overall health and wellness, which I incorporate into my everyday routine of staying active with my two daughters. I enjoy spending my free time reading novels, traveling across state lines, relaxing on the beach, and spending quality time with my family. I currently reside in Southern California and have been married for six years.
