Tamara Lyn Netzel is a passionate advocate and insightful author whose work delves into the multifaceted issues surrounding cannabis legalization and its societal impacts. Humans of Cannabis in a Renaissance of Hope continues her exploration of the human stories behind the cannabis movement, following her first book, The Human Cost of Marijuana Prohibition. Tamara's advocacy journey began in 2017, fueled by her personal experiences and a deep commitment to justice for cannabis medicine to treat her multiple sclerosis. She created the 501c.3 nonprofit, Cruel Consequences: Portraits of Misguided Law and joined the board of directors of Virginia NORML in 2019. In 2020, she was named Advocate of the Year for Virginia NORML. She has since become a prominent voice in the fight for marijuana law reform. Netzel's work continues to inspire and educate, offering a compassionate and informed perspective on the evolving landscape of cannabis reform.
