A world of steampunk with an alchemy of automatons, steam powered spaceships, and centuries of hate brought to one focal point: Splendor, a world of new beginnings for those who step upon its surface.

The settlers of the planet Splendor raised their families in peace for hundreds of years, living a pastoral life on a new world. This all changes when a steam-driven spaceship appears above the planet Splendor. A Queen from their old world, Earth, seeks revenge and blood upon the settlers. The settlers of Splendor had unintentionally released a technological plague upon Earth hundreds of years earlier that had destroyed its civilization and people. Now a new Earth civilization has risen,with the Queen’s assassins and tinker-based technology to carry out her dark plans from old Earth. A handful of men and women stand together against this dark force that seeks the blood of the innocents of Splendor.

Peter McPheters was born in Central Maine and left home to join the marines in 1968 when he was eighteen. Peters military service was demanding as he was a combat marine 0311 and then trained further to become a recon ranger. He served in the Vietnam war and many other foreign countries in peace. Peter completed these rigorous military schools: US Army Jump, US Navy SCUBA, and Amphibious Recon. Peter also completed a successful tour as a Senior Drill Instructor at Parris Island, SC. After eleven active years in the marines, and more years in the marine reserves, Peter transitioned from the marines and found work in aerospace, manufacturing, and in large-scale world class construction. His lovely wife, Lori, and beloved family now live in North Mississippi. Peter continues to write there and endeavors to become a better husband, dad, and grandfather.
