HUGO IN SUN VALLEY is the sequel to A Home for Hugo. It is the story of Hugo finding his long-lost sister Heidi in Sun Valley, Idaho, where she works as a ski patrol rescue dog. Heidi was rescued by a retired Olympic downhill ski racer, Leif, who was visiting Quito Ecuador after winning the gold in Vancouver 2010. Leif adopted Heidi and brought her back to his home in Sun Valley where they are legends in the local community. Hugo flies all the way from New York to Idaho to reunite with Heidi and they have many adventures together in Sun Valley. Hugo assists Heidi in saving people's lives after an avalanche, learns how to ski, plays hockey with the Sun Valley Suns, and meets his girlfriend Sally at the infamous Grumpy's. It is an epic and heartwarming winter for everyone in the most iconic and soulful ski town in the US. All proceeds from sales are donated to animal rescue and adoption.
About the author
Leigh is a published author and illustrator. She is a graduate of Williams College, the London School of Economics and the University of Virginia Law School. She worked as a corporate attorney, an artist, launched her own art company and is currently a director at an investment firm. This is Leigh's second published children's book. She is an advocate for animal rights, rescue and adoption.
