About the author


Dr. Sanjiv Lakhia is double board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Integrative Medicine. Raised in Cincinnati, OH, Dr. Lakhia first attended the University of Dayton where he obtained a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering. During his sophomore year at UD he experienced his own medical challenge that opened his eyes to the world of medicine. He then attended osteopathic medical school at Ohio University and ultimately completed his residency in Physiatry at Carolinas Rehabilitation in Charlotte, NC. In 2022 Dr. Lakhia fulfilled a lifelong dream by completing a fellowship in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona. Currently, Dr. Lakhia resides in the Charlotte area and provides interventional spine care with an emphasis on health and wellness. He is the creator and host of the health podcast Back Talk Doc and remains a strong advocate for natural, non-toxic approaches to pain and injury. In his leisure time, Dr. Lakhia enjoys spending time with his family outdoors, taking trips to the mountains and beaches and riding Seven Dwarves Mine Train at Magic Kingdom.
