House of the Forest

A young woman must face her own heart as she deals with the death of her favorite aunt, her precarious engagement to an ambitious young pastor, and her embroilment in the search for long lost bank funds stolen by her estranged uncle years before. The money may be hidden in her aunt's rustic home in the mountains and she is not the only one looking for it.

Laura Kingsley is devastated by the death of her favorite aunt. She resists her fiance's pleas to remain for his ordination as pastor of his father's church and drives to the mountain community to settle her aunt's estate. Learning more about her aunt's life and finances than she realized. She also discovers her uncle, estranged from her aunt for years, robbed a bank and went to prison for twenty years. The money was never found. At the memorial service, her mother unexpectedly turns up with a man who says he's from the FBI and a cousin she never knew existed reveals himself. When there is a break-in to the rustic home, Laura realizes someone is looking for the money. With the help of Sam, a young widower who reluctantly becomes involved, they seek to solve the mystery of the lost bank funds..

Author has published 3 Biblical Fiction novels with Revell (Baker Books), a Christian Romance, and a poetry book along with several artilces and short stories in compelation books.. She belongs to Professional Women's Fellowship, is active on the Board and worship team of her church, and serves as Treasurer for the San Diego Christian Writer's Guild. She and her husband have six grown children between them and ten grandchldren. They live in San Diego, California
