About The Author
Rocky is the author of the rhymed-verse novel Humphrey's Long Journey Away From the Sea and many other works of fiction, including How to Play Fetch With a Grizzly Bear—A psycho's guide to animal companionship; the novels Ellis in Imaginedland, and The Japanese Man With the Ring in His Nose; the science fiction romance musical The Purpose of the Moon; and 600 songs. A former classical music and art reviewer and an elementary music teacher, Rocky is the only person known to teach third-graders how to conduct the first movement of Prokofiev's Classical Symphony using chopsticks. He currently boards dogs at Rocky's Rover Roadhouse in Richmond, California, writes spooky verse, and records songs.
