Overview
Set in the 1950's the story of Hope is fiction. There is only a desire to glorify God and to make real the drama of living without the technology of today. If you find yourself in one of the characters, then I have done my job.
Description

The story of Hope is fiction; tracing the early attempt to provide foster home care for young teens who have been ignored by the social services system. It includes vignettes of what was possibly the simplistic view of life in that day. Hope goes through a variety of life changing upheavals and finally emerges as a confident young woman.  There is only a desire to glorify God and to make real the drama of living without the technology of today. If you find yourself in one of the characters, then I have done my job.

About the author
Retirement comes with the awesome responsibility of completing projects put on hold. I have in the past 15 years completed my BA in English and MA in Practical Theology. Most of my life I worked full time, raising our two sons, and enjoying the good life with my husband of 50 years. When we were first married, we lived in West Germany and later moved back to our hometown in Virginia. It is with great pleasure that I present this book to be read. There is something to learn about life in every book. It is my hope that this slice of fiction will inspire the reader to be changed in some way by the events written here.
