About the author
Kendra N. Taggart has a B.S. Degree in Therapeutic Recreation/Child Life Therapy from
Temple University and a M.S. Degree in Child and Adolescent Psychology from Capella
University. She has worked, volunteered and completed internships within children's
hospitals, community organizations and agencies that service families within the
community. Kendra was also employed by the New Jersey State Department of Children
and Families-Division of Child Protection and Permanency as an Adoption and
Permanency Specialist for five years. Throughout those experiences, is where Kendra
learned the importance of children having an outlet, like reading and exploring within
their everyday life. Kendra currently still works for the State of New Jersey as a Quality
Assurance Specialist but continues to revert back to her passion of working with
children.
This is the first time Kendra has written a book. The idea first came to her five years
ago in the middle of the night. She thought this was crazy but figured why not entertain
it more. Since Kendra's nieces were born, they have both inspired her to do and be
better in life. As a result, this is something that she really wanted to complete, just to
show them how much they mean to her.
This project is just one of many that Kendra is striving to complete. This is not only
to influence her nieces, but to also influence every little girl and boy, woman and man,
that they can do and be whatever they want. It's never too late to follow your
dreams. All you have to do is believe in yourself, have faith and move forward.
