Overview
Description
Home for many resembles land, either the place they were born in or the place that represents who they have become. Some find their home in family, friends, or a group of people who share similar beliefs. When home is associated with a location or a person, one may run the risk of losing sense of its true meaning. Sometimes, it is an unspecified feeling we learn to bury and forget about over time. However, this feeling never truly fades away, since there is a subconscious need for affiliation, a pervasive sense of longing, and the periodic surfacing of nostalgic memories. Home represents our deepest yearning for connection; our task is to pinpoint precisely what it is we need to establish a connection with as we mentally explore the past, present, and future.
