BJ Vavasseur is a Music Minister who is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She currently resides in the Baton Rouge area with her three children. BJ has been singing gospel music from the young age of five. Coming from a musical family it was no surprise that she would choose music for her career. BJ Vavasseur ministers in Churches, Crusades, and on Television around the world. She is presently traveling in her personal ministry sharing her moving and powerful testimony. Her testimony has reached many women and young ladies who have been through abuses of all types. Her heart is to be able to help young ladies to realize that abuse doesn’t have to define who they are and what they will become. BJ started out singing with her family and in school choirs. At the age of 20 she was hired with the Jimmy Swaggart worship team. She continued to sing there off and on for the next 24 years. She was featured on his program as a Soloist, Worship Leader, and Background Vocal. She has also ministered in services with Nancy Harmon who is well known for her song “The Blood Bought Church”. BJ Vavasseur has put out 8 CD’s over the past 8 years. Her most recent CD is “Hold On Believe” an album geared toward bringing you hope in the midst of troubled times. Her music has touched millions and is still reaching people all over the world. She is working on her book as well. BJ is traveling in ministry on her own as well as with Marty Martinez Ministry. BJ continues to receive dates to minister in churches and conferences.
