Kevin's life turns upside down as he watches his mother battle the biggest enemy of her life, cancer. With his mom, no longer the driving force of the family structure, life at home becomes chaotic. Kevin must come to terms with his mother's painful struggle and with the disease that threatens to destroy them all. Will Kevin ever be able to repair his heart and move forward as his mother always wanted or will he be destined to disappoint God and bring shame even to the one person that means so much to him, his mother?

Ashea Goldson, originally from Brooklyn, NewYork, and now residing in a Metro Atlanta suburb, is a graduate of Fordham University who calls herself a kingdom writer. She is a down to earth, nationally published author and poet, educator, and entrepreneur who loves her family, friends, and the ministry. She spends her days passing on her love of reading and language to her students at the preparatory school she co-owns and operates. By evening she transforms herself into writer extraordinaire, when she is able to fully indulge her creative passions. Her first four novels were all published by Kensington’s Urban Christian. She is currently awaiting the June release of her fifth Christian fiction novel, Scorched, and the July release of her first independent feature film, Searching For The right Thing. She continues to work on a number of independent projects, which include writing and producing her second screenplay. In addition to this she hosts a blogtalkradio show called WordThirst Literary Journal & Gospel Showcase which highlights the work of other like-minded authors and gospel artists.
