About the author
Jennifer Dotson is the Executive Assistant to the Mayor and City Manager for the City of Highland Park. She has been a resident since 2003. In addition, Jennifer is the founder and program coordinator for Highland Park Poetry and facilitates writing workshops for the Highland Park Public Library's Library U! Program.
