God designed marriage to be a life-giving, exhilarating ride of unity and power. Yes, power! He designed marriages to be powerful instruments of His Kingdom. The principles Amy and I will share with you do not constitute a self-help remedy. The purpose in building a high octane marriage is to fulfill God's design, bring Him glory, and advance His kingdom. That's a high calling and a high privilege, with exponential ramifications. Marriages that reflect God's Kingdom life of power, joy, and unity have a supernatural impact on their kids, their families, their friends, their churches, and their communities. These "high octane" marriages have the power and authority to exercise the ministry of Jesus to the world. They are packed with credibility and spiritual authority. They are in alignment with the truth of Jesus Christ and are set free to set others free. We were created, you and I, to live Kingdom life and bring Kingdom life to others. That's what a high octane marriage is all about. God's grace and power be upon you as you pursue your own calling to a high octane marriage. Zoom, zoom, zoom!

Danny DeWalt is a lawyer, pastor, counselor, and sports enthusiast! He obtained his undergraduate degree in Psychology and Philosophy at California State University, Bakersfield, a Mast of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, a Mast of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pacific Lutheran University, and a Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law. Amy DeWalt obtained her liberal arts degree from Evergreen State College with an emphasis in counseling. They both agree with Tony Campolo that one's testimony is far more valuable than one's titles but they also understand that people want to know an author's credentials and so provide those here. Danny is also on the board of the Sycamore Commission and has led conferences and training for couples from around the world. Danny and Amy have been working with marriages and families for over twenty years. Danny works full-time as a lawyer and is a member of the pastoral team at Harborview Fellowship where he leads marriage and family ministries. Amy has enjoyed the blessing of managing their home and pouring time and energy into their daughters. She has worked extensively ministering to women in the community and from abroad. They have two young adult daughters, Hannah and Jenna, who have occupied their main attention these past twenty years and brought great joy and humor to their family. Danny and Amy love to play sports, travel, and find adventure wherever they can. They have developed deep friendships around the world and enjoy the richness of hanging out with good friends.
