About The Author

Rachel S Kardos is a writer and art enthusiast who lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her daughter, and cat Jeffrey. Rachel combined her love of science and art to bring Henri's and Michel's friendship and adventures to life. 'Henri the Snail Who Came by Mail' is a window onto the friendship between a snail named Henri and a boy named Michel. In writing this story I wanted the reader to experience this adventure between Henri and Michel, and to give them a better understanding of why the two characters' true friendship is not bound by distance or the obstacles they encounter. I hope children will enjoy Henri's adventure while learning about snails, historical landmarks, and an introduction to the French language. Kid Testimonials: "This book is amazing! I love reading it at night before bed so I have great dreams!" Thora, 10 year old "Henri is very creative and is a very good children's book and I love it!" Cosimo, 9 year old
