Healing Hope is the first in a series about the different experiences of women living with HIV in San Diego County and Tijuana. A total of 17 stories are highlighted in this volume each with a respective illustration. The goal of this text is to address the stigma around HIV and call attention to the needs and many faces of women living with HIV in current times.
About the author
Christie's Place" is a nonprofit social service organization in San Diego County that provides HIV/AIDS education, support, and advocacy. Our mission is to empower women, children, families, and individuals whose lives have been impacted by HIV/AIDS to take charge of their health and wellness. We are the only organization in San Diego County whose mission is dedicated to serving women, children and families living with HIV/AIDS. The Healing Hope Storytelling Project is a pilot project aimed to uplift the voices of the amazing women we serve.
