About the author
Justin Wyner spent a half century at the helm of Shawmut Corp., a family-owned manufacturer of laminated materials used in products ranging from automobiles to medical supplies. Following in the footsteps of previous generations of Wyners, he has been a leader in civic and religious organizations. Mr. Wyner served as town meeting moderator in Brookline, Mass., president of the American Jewish Historical Society and of its New England chapter, and a board member of Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, among many other positions. Even at 93, he remains an avid sailor and golfer. He and his wife, Genevieve, now live in Dedham, Mass.
His book collaborator, Steve Maas, is a freelance writer and editor. Previously, he edited for newspapers, spending 17 years at The Boston Globe and later editing The Jewish Advocate of Boston. He and his wife, Judith, live in Brookline, Mass.
