About the author
Queen Quet is the Chieftess and Head-of-State for the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com). She has written numerous books on the history of the Gullah/Geechee Nation and has completed two anthologies on the same topic. Her first novella was "Tinkin Bout Famlee" which she co-wrote with Ronald "Kuumba" Goodwine. Queen Quet has won numerous awards for her writing, speeches, and dramatic presentations as well as for her work as an environmental champion. She brings together cultural heritage, history, and environmental advocacy in her first novel duet which includes "Gwine Home: A Gullah/Geechee Saga" and "We Journey: A Gullah/Geechee Famlee Storee."
