Overview
A special team of scientists are headed to Space Station America to do highly specialized research on solutions to environmental deterioration impacting the United States and Earth. Their spaceship is taken over by an unidentified foreign power hurtling them across the universe. As they're rescued by a planet far, far away, they find God (Gus), twists and turns, and life with a new people.
Description
A special team of scientists are selected to participate to do highly specialized research at Space Station America to study potential solutions to environmental deterioration impacted the U.S. and earth. After liftoff and as they proceed to Space Station America control of their space ship is taken over by an unidentified foreign power hurdling their space ship away from the universe. As the proceed through darkness they are contacted by God who eventually identifies himself as Gus, and all he tells them is to not be afraid. They eventually land on a planet in another universe with the help of people on that planet. They adventure outside of their spacecraft after a great deal of review and determine it is livable. They story goes through many twists and turns after they finally meet the inhabitants of this this planet who they find are very special as is their planet. The scientists eventually join this new group and their wonderful life. The differences between the new planet and Earth are described along the way.
About the author
Terry Smith started his professional career after serving as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army followed by completing his MBA at the University of Texas at Austin. His working career centered around financial and general management in healthcare, mergers and acquisitions. He also was a part-time professor teaching in a graduate program in these fields for over 30 years. He is married with two children and lives in El Paso, Texas. Gus is his first book.
