About the author
Cecily Kocis is a fifth-grader at Mustard Seed School. She is eleven, and is currently working on five books (Ankh, Daughter of Anubis, Chasing the Cloud City, The Chapters of the Portal Key, No-Name Returns and Scamper's World) and loves math and science. Some of her best friends are part of the book. Her fourth-grade teacher Ms. Jonker is one-third the inspiration for Gravitopolis. She enjoys listening to songs of new musicals, songs, and albums (her favorite is Six: the Musical) and loves to hear feed- back on her books. In her spare time, Cecily likes to climb trees, write books, read, and draw. Her favorite activity is hanging out with her friends. When she was little, the dolphin sprinklers in the local park inspired her to name one Tindy. It was the start of many, many adventures in a fantasy land with this magical dolphin. And it was one of many stories made up to come.
