Georgia Haven
A Love Story Across States and Time
by Maíra Rayanne

Overview

It was April 27. Maíra hopped on a plane to Kennesaw, Georgia – to meet a complete stranger. Not knowing whether she was making the biggest mistake, or the best decision of my life. His name was Declan. This isn’t your typical love story. But this is the story of what happens when you follow your heart to another state, in search of something. Of what happens when everything aligns, just as you least expect it to. And what it means to discover what it’s like to truly feel alive, and broken, at the same time. Then, without notice, it all shatters. Only to later come back to you at the right time. Or is it ever, really, the right time? What are we capable of in the name of love. Do we choose it, in all its madness and glory, or does it choose us? Over the course of the next three years, she was about to find out.

Description

When it comes to love, a simple moment can seem like an eternity, for better or worse. After two years of being away from the man she loved, Maíra couldn’t believe she was seeing Declan again, much less while standing in an Atlanta airport terminal. Little did she know, that long awaited meeting was just the beginning of a 4th of July weekend that would end up etched in the permanent stone of her memory. Reuniting under tragic circumstances, Maíra and Declan eventually resume the easy rapport that brought them together in the first place. And following the most genuine declaration of love and faith either of them has ever seen, the couple seems to be headed on the path towards a lasting and sacred romance. But can Maíra and Declan’s love survive past tribulations, and the tumultuous twists and turns looming in their future? Displaying a powerful combination of honesty and dedication, Georgia Haven— Maíra Rayanne’s heartfelt memoir about love gained, lost, and regained—demonstrates the extraordinary levels many people will reach for the chance to hold on to that feeling for even a second longer.
