Overview
Evolution doesn´t stop at Homo Sapiens. Eventhough FBI wants it to do. Nature evelops.
Description
A conspirational and factual action thriller with a large helping of science reality and crime fiction. When the young forensic geneticist, Sarah Bermann, carries out a seemingly routine DNA analysis in connection with the investigation of a brutal murder in Philadelphia she makes a sensational biological discovery. As a consequence Sarah is lead into the Amish people's isolated and primitive lifestyle in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. A society that is in stark contrast to her shallow and materialistic life. Her discovery is followed closely by an FBI team and before Sarah is aware of it she is embroiled in a net that reaches out to the far corners of the planet. She is attracted to the main suspect in the murder case; the twenty-three year-old Amish, David Stoltzfus and also reveals that her father has kept a secret from her that will change her life forever. New danish crime success. Recommended by both Jussi Adler-Olsen and Dan T. Sehlberg.
About the author
Claus M. Lohman, born 1971, is a danish chemistry and science teacher who lives in the city of Hans Christian Andersen, Odense, with his two sons. About twenty years ago he wrote a novel for his own amusement, setting it on a shelf unpublished. Ten years later he got an idea for a plot for another book. He toyed with the new storyline over a number of years, developing and changing it. A couple of years ago he mentioned his ideas to a friend in passing. This friend liked the idea and persuaded him to start writing. Her insistence finally paid off and, almost two years later, Claus M. Lohman has turned his original idea into his debut novel which has become a great success in his homeland, Denmark. Genesis has recieved lots of positive reviews back in Denmark.
