About the author

I grew up in kind of a toy factory; our family business was decorating shopping centers at Christmas and Easter. The building was an old wooden packing house built in 1901, and when you walked in you would smell fresh cut pine and paint, and hear the sounds of saws and hammers. I would get to design whole worlds and all the characters that lived there, then sculpt those same characters and motorize them. It was a lot of work, but very rewarding when I would see how excited the children.
