About The Author


He currently resides in Kyoto(Japan) and has been working as a professional musician for over 25 years, playing in Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe and Tokyo. During the 80's and 90's he played for the famous Shoji Nakayama (drums) Trio, Ann Young (vocal), Othelo Molineau (steel drums, Jaco Pastorius band), and many other great musicians. In more recent years he was invited for Tiger Okoshi's (trumpet) Japan Tour 2001, and Yoshiki Miura's (guitar) Japan Tour 2002. He also keeps a busy schedule leading his own trio. In addition, he manages his own jazz piano school in Kyoto , Osaka and Tokyo with a teaching career spanning over 20 years. At the class, he plays upright bass for piano students, thereby offering an ensemble situation.
