About the author
Ricardo Taylor is from the beautiful island of Barbados. He is married to Denise, his wife of twenty-one years and best friend. They have three children, two sons, Delandro and Daniel, and one daughter, Rickeda.
Ricardo Taylor has a heart for nations and a burning desire to see entire nations transformed through the gospel .. He believes that God has the answer to loneliness, poverty, corruption and other massive, mind-boggling problems plaguing societies but believes that God wants to use each of us in creating solutions so that we can truly become the reformers and revolutionaries of our societies.
As well as being a local church pastor for over ten years, he is a UK-trained chartered accountant with a heart for the work place, the marketplace and the four-walled church. He wants to see the church "gathering" on Sunday, and "scattering" all over the city and nation during the week to advance the kingdom and impact society. He has an enduring passion to see the church break free of its four walls so that it can step into its true apostolic and prophetic destiny. He believes that the four-walled church will never impact society as Jesus intended as long as the church remains trapped in the devil's grip of religion and tradition. This is because the four walls of the church represent unseen barriers erected by church leaders that keep "the flock" inside instead of the saints carrying out their greater function beyond the church building. We don't just go to church. We are the church 24/7.
Ricardo really believes that two of the biggest strongholds established in the church over the years have been the sacred/secular division and the clergy laity division. Both in his view have done untold damage to the mindset and ministry of the saints and have served quite well the devil's purpose of immobilizing the saints. This is now changing as the twenty-first century church that Jesus died for starts to take shape. According to him, now is the time for God's true apostles, prophets, teachers, pastors, and evangelists to arise to equip the saints to do the work of ministry and to advance the kingdom in every sphere of society. Now is the times for the saints to be fully equipped, ultimately, by the Holy Spirit to take the kingdom as prophesied in the Book of Daniel.
