Troy Watts was born in Livonia, Michigan, and lived in Indianapolis, Indiana, North Olmsted, Ohio, and Roanoke, Texas throughout his childhood. He attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in business in 1996. He furthered his education and graduated with a master's degree in marketing from Utah State University while working in St. George, Utah, in 1999. Throughout his career, he has worked in various marketing, advertising, and sales positions in the areas of construction, banking, and government. He and his wife Brenda, reside in North Las Vegas, Nevada, and are the parents of six children.
