Myra Lewin has studied and taught Yoga, Ayurveda, nutrition, meditation, and energy management since the early 1990s.
Previously, Myra had a diverse career in the fields of medicine, executive management, and business consulting. Her experience as a corporate executive and consultant provided the jumping off point for her current path. Through Yoga and Ayurveda, Myra obtained complete healing from life-threatening diseases and has since guided many people from destructive habits to fulfilled and vital living.
Her studies and teaching come primarily from the Krishnamacharya lineage. The asana is drawn from Iyengar, Ashtanga, and the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli. Her training in Pranayama comes from Iyengar and O.P. Tiwari of Kaivalyadama Institute. Myra has a Certificate of Advanced Clinical Study in Ayurveda, through the Practitioner Training Program with Dr. Sunil Joshi at Vinayak Ayurveda Chikitsalaya, Nagpur. Myra is an ERYT500 with Yoga Alliance, holds a 500 hour certificate from International Yoga Studies, and is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
For over 10 years, Myra has conducted teacher trainings emphasizing a harmonized approach to Yoga and Ayurveda. Hale Pule, her Yoga Alliance registered school, is located on the island of Kauai in Hawaii.

She is also a mediator, minister in The Church of Aesclepion Healing, organic farmer, and Ayurvedic cook. She works with people in any stage of life, including the elderly and those recovering from addiction. Her in-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and psychology enables her to approach people at their level, encouraging the integration of healthy balanced practices as a foundation for life.
Freedom in Your Relationship with Food: an Everyday Guide, Myra’s recent publication, offers practical guidance from the principles of Ayurveda and Yoga. It explains how to reawaken our sacred connection to what we consume. An eagerly awaited companion book filled with additional recipes is currently in progress.
With her focus on growth and service, Myra also enjoys world travel, surfing, hiking and playing with her dogs. Her students benefit from the example of her joy-filled life as much as from her teachings.
