This book presents the Process Spiritual Model™ based on the original work of Dr. Taibi Kahler’s Process Communication Model®. In addition to exploring their unique gifting and styles of communication, readers will also learn to watch out for certain "Warning Signs" alerting them to often unconscious and unmet "Psychological Needs," "Deceptions" they may fall prey to, and the negative behaviors of their "Distress" sequence when trying to meet these needs on their own. Ultimately, our hope is to help readers further understand and appreciate their unique personalities, finding joy in who they were created to be and living fully into their identities as God’s Servants by Design. The path to freedom and full life begins with the choice to embrace and appreciate how God uniquely designed you and your personality, and in turn, find new delight in the designs of others.

Dr. Robert S. Maris, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who has divided his time between teaching, private practice, and writing in the areas of personality and gifting for over 40 years. Dr. Maris is the originator of the Process Spiritual Model ™, an interpretation of Dr. Taibi Kahler's original work, the Process Communication Model ®, through a Christian worldview. He lives in Little Rock, Arkansas with his wife Laura. He has three grown daughters, Shannon, Wendy, and Anna (the latter of which is the co-author of this work), and one grandson, Jack. He lives each day thankfully, in absolute wonder of God's goodness to him.
