Freddy's Gifts

One day in late spring, Mommy and Daddy Moose take Freddy on a long journey to meet his relatives and to thank them for the gifts they gave him when he was born. The Moose Family starts out before sunrise and returns very late at night. Their journey takes them over mountains, through a meadow, into a forest, past a pond, to the ocean and by a lake. Each relative Freddy meets is as unique and colorful as the gift they gave. After thanking them all, a tired Freddy returns home, climbs into bed and realizes what the best gift was.

Pinny Kuckel graduated from Middlebury College and lives in central New York with her husband, George. Family is very important to her. She has a son and daughter-in-law who live in Massachusetts and many other relatives and friends with whom she enjoys sharing laughter and games. One of her goals in life is to bring out the joy of the child within each of us.
