The story is a brief glimpse into the life of a boy who's granpa has been afflicted with Alzheimer's Disease. Every summer Jonny and Gramps take out the old green canoe and go fishing together. The two spend their time on the lake sharing stories and discussing sports, likes, dislikes and childhood memories. It is their special time together. One summer Jonny's arrives at the summer home to find that his Gramps can no longer be his fishing buddy. He must learn to understand the new Gramps and how the disease changed him.
About the author
Rebecca currently resides in Kenilworth, Illinois. Both she and her husband Chip grew up in this small town located just north of Chicago and have raised their five children here. They are avid sports fans, like Chip's father, and enjoy attending Bull, Bears, Cubs, and Blackhawk games. Rebecca spends her summers in White Lake, Michigan where she enjoys spending time with friends and family.
