Overview

This book is a culmination of 25 years of my teaching voice and being a performer. I wanted to make sure that people have an easy to follow guide of a vocal technique that works and that they could understand. The book includes videos of me singing examples of several of the chapters and a few with my son, Ari Zizzo, who is a Baritone. (low male voice). Tina lives and has her teaching studio in New York City.

Description

We are creatures of expression. Throughout the history of human time, we have expressed ourselves through art, dance, painting and music. Music is one of the most expressive facets of the human soul and the voice is the mouthpiece for that expression. The voice is the first thing a person hears when they are born. Truly the first thing someone comes to know you by, is your voice. Your own unique sound. It is something most of us take for granted but for singers, it is an instrument that must be understood and learned properly. Finding your true voice requires knowledge not only of how it functions, but also how to keep you, the body of your instrument, healthy so that you can perform at your best, even under the worst circumstances. Finding your true voice is also a journey about finding your inner self. I am grateful for the gift of music God has given me and the ability to teach, nurture and develop talent. It all started with my voice. Finding my own true voice.
