Dr. Sergio M. Montolio was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the South Bronx. Dr. Montolio has dedicated most of his life providing services to minority communities. At the age of 17, Dr. Montolio chose the path of becoming an entrepreneur. As a result, Dr. Montolio opened a small Barbershop in the South Bronx which then expanded to multiple Barbershops. Dr. Montolio has owned multiple businesses ranging from barbershop, restaurants, to training institution. Dr. Montolio currently founded multiple home-based daycare in the South Bronx, N.Y. which he co-owns with his wife. Dr. Montolio currently works as an adult trainer for CUNY Research Foundation. He recently founded S.M. Worldwide Training Services and S.M. Consulting Associates Corp. where he conducts business consulting-management,leadership and administration trainings, as well as mentoring. Dr. Montolio is also speaker where he shares his experience and expertise. Dr. Montolio earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and a master's degree in public administration & Inspectors General from John Jay College of Criminal Justice as well as a Doctorate in Philosophy – "Public policy and Administration" from Walden University. Dr. Montolio has also obtained many states certifications in Leadership, and Executive Leadership. Dr. Montolio has been honored and inducted in the International Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration (PI ALPHA ALPHA) as well as in the National Society of Leadership and success (SIGMA ALPHA PI). Dr. Montolio was honored and given citations from the NYC Council, NYS Assembly, Morrisania Revitalization Corporation (MRC), NYC Growing Providers (Brooklyn Library), New York City Police Department (NYCPD) for his dedication to his community.
