Description
Moving to San Francisco from a small New England town was a very big step for 27 year old Heather Layton, but this is exactly what she did after a highly bitter divorce. Relocation is difficult. She encounters sexual abuse and other obstacles. She is determined. Eventually meeting a young corporate attorney, Scott Marshall, who hires her as his private secretary. She's highly efficient at her work, but also seems to "pamper him." He's delighted at the progress she makes in the office. Eventually they begin dating. He takes her to exciting, romantic places she's never seen before and they fall in love; but will she ever be reunited with her loving parents and her brother, Jimmy, she left behind so suddenly months ago without even a goodbye? An attempted hijacking of an airliner and a tragic car accident all add to her dilemma. Where she was previously very discouraged about life, the young attorney has changed all that; and what in the world had been left on Scott's doorstep early one morning?! The ending is a sweet surprise for all!
