About The Author

I am a single mom with two children and I want to teach them about finances...as far as what I know. I was not taught about finances or money management by my parents, just like most people. I want to give something to my children to learn from and help enhance their lives. I grew up a coalminers daughter. Grew up with first hand knowledge of what "Government Cheese" tastes like (living on food stamps for those who do not know what I mean here). I do not want them making the same money management mistakes as me and my parents. I want to help them avoid poverty. I believe having some knowledge about what I have leaned and put in place along my way in life can be a way for them to avoid living paycheck to paycheck and making a better life by controlling their money. Not their money controlling them.
