About the author
EvaEva is a world music artist, singer, producer, composer, dancer, actor, voice actor, model, historical clothing and carnival samba set designer, fitness instructor, and technology systems nerd. She is classically trained in dance and music, played piano at age 7, violin at age 9, and flute, for which she was accepted to and studied at, Juilliard.
EvaEva's parents performed and collaborated with a broad spectrum of artists; Luther Vandross, The Average White Band, Herbie Mann, Todd Rundgren, Tito Puente, Pat Matheny, Manu DiBango, Eumir Deodato, Sammy Figueroa, Airto Moreira and Flora Purim, and Creed Taylor.
EvaEva's genre is heavily influenced by these artists and her exposure to Brazilian and Indian rhythms. EDM elements create a modern organic sound. She is also strongly anchored in soul, blues, and rock roots. Her ballad, "NYBlues", is an emotional journey.
EvaEva studied flute with Julius Baker at The Juilliard School. She performed with Jean-Pierre Rampal and a flute chorus at Carnegie Hall, and DJed at the Palladium, Limelight, Red Zone, Shout, City, Tavern On The Green, the Rainbow Room, and many high profile events. EvaEva is a talented actress and dancer. She was a child singer for commercials, performed in plays, musicals, operettas. EvaEva starred in and co-produced the independent short film, "The Crown and Bell".
As a singer, EvaEva feels most influenced by Stevie Wonder, Maria Callas, and her mother.
Among those who have recorded with her are Cyro Baptista, Gil Goldstein, and Dominguinhos. She recorded and independently produced her CD, "Friends Always", in São Paulo, Brazil, during which time she performed with Jorge Ben Jor. EvaEva collaborated with Matt Pierson, recording four songs for EMI Music.
EvaEva continues to create new and exciting art. She has written and produced tracks for film, television, and other licensing. Examples are "Brazilian House 1 (Rio Groovy)", "Ziriguidum", and "Shantaram", a song she wrote and dedicated to the novel (of same name) written by Gregory David Roberts.
EvaEva has acted in TV pilots, series', talk shows, and film, and was sent to Atlanta by CBS to test for the role of Scarlett in the TV sequel to "Gone With The Wind", called "Scarlett". EvaEva's designs are an extension of her work as a performer. Videos of her performances in her samba designs are on her channel on YouTube; EvaEvaMusic. Her historical fashions are now dedicated to 16th Century Italy, and she is a member of the SCA.
EvaEva has created hundreds of dance, vocal, comedy, and commentary videos on TikTok. She is EvaEvaOuro on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
EvaEva is obssessed with inventing and sharing beauty, and pours her soul into every piece of work. Writing is yet another medium through which she can reach to touch hearts. Her words are a song to the humanity that connects us.
