About the author

Though she was born in the city—Huntsville, Alabama—Sylvia Darwin has always been a country girl at heart. She has a B.S. in Computer Science from Alabama A&M University, an M.S. in Program Management, certificates in Systems Engineering and Verification/Validation from the University of Alabama Huntsville, and an Acting certificate from the Actor's School in Franklin, Tennessee, where she studied under actor, TV star, director and producer Alan Dysert. She has been part of two movies: Country Strong and Deadline. She was an active member of the United Way, working with Fortune 500 companies to make charitable contributions and to support back-to-school programs that provided school supplies. She worked as a Strategic Planner and Engineer, and in her writing, she aims to touch, inspire, and encourage all people. She loves music, fishing, golf, horseback riding, sporting events and traveling.
