Feminismo, Hedonismo, Erotismo en la poesía hispánica contemporánea

A compilation of essays, studies dealing with poetical works of Latin Americans and Spaniard authors. The main approach is dealing how these authors portrait the woman throught three themes: Feminismo, Hedonismo, Erotismo, as well as how women poets of Latin American and Spain portrait themselves through out these three themes in their own poetical works .

There are nine chapters in the book, seven written in Spanish, one in English, one translated from Spanish. All of them previously published in very prestigious literary Review-Journnals of Latin America and Spain. This compilation represents the work of an scholar dedicated to the the inquiry of feminism in the Modern and Contemporary Spanish poetry written by women and men in Modernism and Postmodernism. It is an scholarly book that traces how very recurrent themes such as erotism, hedonism and/or feminism are present in the poetical works of modernism and postmodernism in the works of Spanish and Latin American poets, men and women.

Dr. Santos is professor emeritus from Baruch College, City University of New York. coauthor of Spanish Modular Approach, vol. I,II, Iii, Harper & Row, 1976; Paso a Paso, Holt, Rinehard, Winston, 1978. Autor of Español Comercial, Harper & Row, 1981. Has published many articles in very prestigious Latin American literary journals of Mexico, Venezuela, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, and Spain. Won several Scholarships from the Ford Foundation, and Woodrow Wilson. Has published books of short stories and poetry, Temario, El largo Hábito de la Soledad, Temática en 5-7-5. Has an unpublished Critical study on the poetry of Pedro Salinas.
