"Felix and Phoebe's Robot" is a story that follows the titular Felix and Phoebe as they face a problem in their daily life. Felix struggles to make a perfect slice of toast in the morning, inspiring the pair to work together to try and create a robot to toast the bread for them. Following the steps of the Engineering Design Process, the pair work their way through asking, imagining, researching, drawing, building, testing, and improving their robot. Learning about safety and overcoming design failures, Felix and Phoebe are finally able to enjoy their perfect toast!
Lovingly created by a team of students, this story is dedicated to the late Woodie Flowers, and hopes to inspire the same love of robotics in children as Flowers inspired in all of us.
